The High School program covers Grades 9 to 12 (ages 14 to 18).
Through a challenging academic offering which includes the IB Middle Years program (MYP), the IB Diploma program (DP) and the American High School diploma, we aim to equip our students with the intellectual and interpersonal skills to succeed in both their academic and professional careers.
Learners complete the IBMYP, first commenced in our Middle School, during grades 9 and 10.
They then study for the American High School Diploma, to which they can either add the full IBDP or a selection of DP and/or AD courses.
The NIC American High School Diploma is accredited by Cognia. To complete it, students must earn a minimum of twenty credits during their four years of high school.

These credits may be gained across the following disciplines:

Students who choose to take AD courses can do so alongside regular High School Diploma courses and IB courses. All AD courses are one year in duration and most culminate in an exam administered during a two-week AD testing period in May. AD is a global credential. Universities around the world recognize AD when making admission decisions, course requisites, and awarding university credit. Qualifying AD Exam scores earn university credit in nearly all universities in the United States and Canada and are recognized in 60 other countries worldwide. Scores of 3 or 4 in at least three, preferably four, AD courses fulfill admission requirements in the many UK and European universities. AD courses are fast-paced university-level courses requiring strong reading skills and a commitment to independent learning. A high level of self-direction is assumed.
